Before Amity could raise her voice any higher Amelia pulled her in for a hug, afraid Odelia would storm in and make the situation worse. Her sister cried into her tank top, clinging to her with one hand while clutching the hoodie to her chest with the other.
"She can't be gone, Amelia! Please! Tell me this is just some stupid nightmare! She can't be gone!" She begged, pleaded into Amelia's chest. Her sister felt her tremble and cry, felt every bout of sadness and grief as it flowed out of Amity in waves.
