Summary
Kíli turned to the She-Elf as she was urging him towards his own cell.
"Aren't you going to search me? I could have anything down my trousers."
He'd hoped to make her blush, or stammer, or at least to lower her intense green gaze. Those eyes reminded Kíli of a river they had passed back in the Shire, or of emeralds caught in firelight. The unwavering intensity of her gaze made him feel like she could see right through him. He much preferred the effect he was used to having on the fairer sex with his cheekiness and his smile: blustering, spluttering, and the abrupt changing of subjects. Surely this female could be no different?
"Or nothing."
Clearly, she could be.
But as she closed the door to his cell, Kíli felt sure he'd seen her lips quirk into a reluctant smile. It was enough to make him smile in return, leaning against the bars of his cell as he watched her walk away.
Pretty, and intriguing.
And he didn't yet know her name.

An extended version of Tauriel and Kíli's story from the "Hobbit" movies. Because we all deserved better, and more. Especially they.

Summary
It had started off by accident, during their hunt for Horcruxes all those years ago. They’d both been miserable, love-sick in the worst sort of way, and feeling dejected. So, they’d turned to each other for comfort, both knowing that the other thought of someone else when they kissed, wished for someone else’s touch, hoped for another’s voice to whisper their name in the throes of passion.
