Summary
During times of war, everywhere experiences one hardship or another. Famine, loss of loved ones, and men leaving their homes to fight. Yet in some parts of the world, like those villages hidden in deep forests, certain things happen that allow these places to experience increased birthrates, bountiful yields of crops, and a happiness that many other parts of Firene only know during times of peace. These stories are well-known but have fallen to the wayside as myths and folktales, as no scholar has been able to prove their authenticity or how such feats are possible.
But Goldmary, who is quite familiar with these tales, shares this story with Yunaka one day after a battle in a forest where they have found themselves. Deep within its recesses, something watches them and sees the shared, unspoken bond these two women hide from each other. With a little push and some coercion, there is potential for them to... aid the local population while learning the truth of these folktales.
