    Derek really wasn’t exaggerating earlier. Sincerely, nobody but him has touched his dick in a whole goddamn year. He thinks he’s actually beginning to forget what it even feels like, to have something wrapped around him that isn’t also attached to him. And with the added buzz of the alcohol in his system – not enough to wreck him, but enough to make him feel a little lighter, a little looser – well...

    Well. Maybe it’s not so insane after all, that he finds himself considering this right now.

    “I am straight, though,” he feels the need to reiterate.

    “Okay,” Stiles says slowly. “But, like, really, I mean – a mouth’s a mouth. Right?”

     

    Fresh off the back of being dumped, Derek agrees to strike up a friends-with-benefits situation with Stiles, his best friend and roommate. It doesn't matter that Derek is straight - it's just sex, after all.

    So, it didn’t start out like this.

     

    Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-

     

    So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.

     

    It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:

    “ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

    --

    A world where nobody has wings, but people think they do, and that changes everything.

    To Fix What Was Broken by

    When Mahal himself offers to send Thorin back to the start of the quest to save the line of Durin, he is determined to make amends for all of the mistakes he made the first time around.

    When Bilbo wakes up in Bag End eighty years in the past, all he knows is that he has somehow been given the chance to see his beloved dwarves again and he'll be damned if he doesn't take it.

    Both dwarf and hobbit are desperate to prevent the quest from ending in tragedy, but neither will be able to do it on their own. They'll need to work together if they want to keep the entire Company alive and whole --but first they need to realize that they are not alone in their efforts, and they have to stop getting in each other's way at every turn they make.

    Hopefully, they'll learn some things this time that they failed to learn before. And maybe, just maybe, they'll find their happy ending that both have been yearning for.

    To Fix What Was Broken by hobbitoutoftime

    Summary:
