“I only just met you, Yoongi. I’m not going to just mate a random alpha I met a few hours ago.”
“But you are mine.” He scowled.
“Not yet, I’m not.” Jimin put his hands on his hips.
Yoongi seemed ridiculously confused, and Jimin almost laughed.
“Do humans…do I have to court you, then?”
Jimin wasn’t able to stop the laugh this time. He let out a cackle, which he forced to turn into a less obnoxious giggle, more fitting of an omega. “I haven’t heard that term in forever. No, you don’t have to ‘court’ me. But you do have to get to know me, dummy. And I don’t mean just my body.”
Yoongi’s eyes narrowed.

Unbeknownst to Jimin, the chief warrior scents something out of place in the breeze. He peers into the darkness, not only sensing a presence, but also having caught a whiff of something distinctly omega that does not belong to any of the ones they have brought along. He tries to see who is lurking out of sight. He is unsuccessful, but murmurs to his second-in-command to keep an eye out.
“I think we’re being followed. Don’t make a fuss just yet, though.”
