Mikoto feels the smile freeze on her face as she looks at her youngest before it turns into a bemused one.
Five-year-old Sasuke has someone in tow, a girl who looks about the same age as he is, and he’s clutching her hand very tightly with an excited, giddy gleam in his eyes—the kind she’s only ever seen when Sasuke finds something he really likes, like his stuffed green dinosaur.
“Mother, look!” Sasuke exclaims, dropping the hold he has on the girl, only to present his guest to his mother in a ta-dah motion. “Pink!”

“How beautiful you are,” he answers, unbidden and honest.
There is a beat in which Sakura just stares and then blinks at him before rearing back. She makes a face at Sasuke before leveling him once again with an unimpressed stare.
“Alright. What did you do this time? Did you and Naruto fight again? Which training ground did you idiots decimate this time?”

Summary
A jutsu accidently leaves ANBU Captain Itachi and medic-nin Sakura swapped into each other's bodies for three weeks. Sakura gleefully makes the stoic Uchiha prodigy look unhinged—smiling, hugging Sasuke, proposing ANBU wellness programs. Itachi politely ruins her life by optimizing everything and accidentally revealing her crush on him at girls' night.
By the time they switch back, the village thinks they've both lost their minds, and they've gained an inconvenient attraction to each other. Turns out organized chaos and emotional availability make for excellent relationship compatibility—especially when one wants to be a stay-at-home husband and the other is happy to be the breadwinner. Now Sakura just needs to establish firm boundaries about Itachi's tendency to weaponize therapy against anyone who insults their hypothetical future family.

Summary
Sasuke quickly approached one of his victims who had been hit by several senbon, three of which were taken to the torso, causing the boy to rabidly lose blood. The boy had already passed out, lying like a corpse on the cold, hard ground. Sasuke’s world stood still, and he dropped to his knees, turning Ita- whoever this was on his back so that he could take a closer look.
“Who are…” Sasuke mumbled in shock. Horror. “Who are you?”
Or: Adult Sasuke screws up and finds himself back in time, where he encounters a teenage version of his brother and nearly kills him. Sasuke decides to take care of him until he figures out how to get back to the present.

Summary
Sometimes, he got the impression that Sakura knew him better than he knew himself. It was terrifying, because it meant he’d made himself vulnerable in some way. He couldn’t hate her for it, though. As much as Sasuke tried to keep from getting attached, she’d wormed her way into his heart. All of Team Seven had, but Sakura even moreso than the other two.
Sasuke stays in Konoha. The consequences have never been cuter.
