    Summary

    This story takes place in Amarāvati, which is home to one of the oldest and largest Buddhist stupas in the world, dating back to 3rd Century CE. In the story's universe there is recorded history of cultural exchange between India and Japan in the 10th century AD and the art of Jujutsu originates from Tantric Buddhist tradition practiced by Mahayāna Buddhists.

    Gojo belongs to a clan of Samurai warriors who travel across the seas to study Mahayāna Buddhism in Amarāvati.

    Suguru is the princess of the last surviving kingdom of Mahayāna Buddhists in 10th Century AD descending directly from Sage Nagarjuna, the author of Mahayāna's founding scriptures.

    The couple's love and longing remains unfulfilled during their first union but a thousand and ten years later, they are reborn as the Gojo and Geto we know from Gege’s story.

    They reunite to rewrite their destiny and be together in this lifetime. This historical reimagination combined with omegaverse tells the epic tale of the love between a stoic warrior and a revered royal maiden as well as the reimagined fate of the strongest duo who are each other's one and only.

    Summary

    Now, the edges of his mind blurred soft and fuzzy by smoke, there's that voice in the back of his head, chanting how no, he won't ever get married. All he's ever wanted is painted golden by the street lamps, eighteen years old, getting high on an abandoned bridge, and pretending he doesn't want him back just as devastatingly much.

    //

    "We're still sticking together, yeah?"

    "Of course." Despite this mess they've gotten themselves into here, in each other's arms, balancing on some cusp where they're not-quite lovers – Satoru doesn't even have to think about it. Of course, always, always.

    "Then I guess I won't have to miss it. It was never about the bridge, or the street, or the stars, was it? I just like it here because that's where you are."

    Summary:

    "I can't go on like this, anymore, Satoru."

    His voice doesn't crack and neither does his expression, but to Satoru, it sounds broken and tired all the same; It sounds like it was heavy to force the words out, his eyes clouded by a haze that could only be bloodthirsty; It sounds like it's taking effort to keep himself steady, rational. Satoru wonders for how long has Suguru felt this way. The anger in his chest lets up for something more like grief.

    "I know," He says, suddenly softer. "So just trust me, for tonight, at least. Let me think of something. Something smarter than burning down a village in the middle of nowhere."
