Summary
Post fourth season finale... Team Machine each struggle to find a way to keep Harold from devolving as he grows more frustrated in his efforts to fix The Machine. (I aimed for porn-y and wound up somewhere else. Also, Rinch took over and wound up a bit head-hoppy by the end. My bad!)

Summary
"You mean to tell me you've never kissed anyone before?"
Bashir sounded far too curious for Garak's comfort, and already, Garak was regretting his uncharacteristic honesty. Truly, he should have anticipated this — or rather, he should have listened when he did anticipate this, instead of allowing himself to get swept away by — by sentimental fantasies.
Foolish, he thought bitterly, tip of his tail swaying with agitation beneath the table. That you could imagine that Bashir might actually want—
He huffed, shoving aside his frustration, then consciously allowed his jaw to drop open into a vague imitation of a human grin.
"My dear Doctor," Garak said, putting on an air of indulgent good humor as he tipped his snout forwards. "I do not have lips. Why would I make a habit of kissing?" To further remind Bashir of his... inhuman anatomy, he allowed his forked tongue to flick out over the table, just once.

Summary
"It doesn’t matter," he says. "You never remember anyway. No matter how many times I tell you, in the end it’s just me."
He can practically taste the silence that stretches between them after that, as Garak is trying to puzzle out the meaning.
"I’m stuck in a time loop," Julian explains unprompted. "In a bit over a day we are attacked, and die, and then it starts all over again."Bookmarked by Under_the_Desk
