"Didn't feel like talking." Sylus doesn't move from his relaxed position, but his gaze hasn't left Caleb. "That warrant a welfare check?"
"Apparently."
The scent is everywhere. It's soaked into the furniture, the air, probably the damn walls. Caleb's training screams at him that this is wrong. Betas aren't supposed to notice pheromones like this, aren't supposed to feel the way his pulse has kicked up or how his skin feels too warm.
"You can come further inside," Sylus says, amusement threading through his voice. "I don't bite. Usually."
Caleb stays exactly where he is. "You look fine. I'll let her know."
"All the way here just to turn around?" Those red eyes glint in the low light. "How disappointing."
Caleb should leave. Every logical thought in his head is telling him to make an excuse, step back into that elevator, and pretend this never happened.
Instead, his feet carry him forward.

“Megatron wants what!?” Prowl scoffs as disbelief and genuine irritation spread across his faceplate.
Because Megatron wants peace with the so called 'soft-sparked' Autobots.
