The Crosshair-lookalike smirks. “Do you want to tell them or should I?”
The Hunter-lookalike sits up, flushed and breathless and aroused but still manages to look relatively composed. “We’re from the future,” he tells them. “Crosshair and I.”

Crosshair swallows, his throat abnormally dry. “What happened?”
“You were bitten,” Tech answers before anyone else can speak up.

A mission gone wrong leaves Crosshair bitten by a strange creature. But blood loss, if dealt with quickly, is nothing to worry about. All he needs is rest and time. Except something about him has… changed. Crosshair is no longer the same as he once was.
