Summary
The Kingdom of Hyrule has fallen. The Zora Domain will provide sanctuary, but the Crown Princess must cross Central Hyrule which is crawling with soldiers loyal to the usurper. The only safe path of egress is through the Depths.
The Depths are impossible to traverse without the Ferryman: a being who will guide lost souls to their destination for a price. He may ask for anything ranging from a cooking pot to one’s firstborn child.
“Firstborn child?” Zelda asks. “Sure! When do we start?”
To everyone’s horror, the Ferryman smiles.

I’ll even write the ransom note for you, if you can’t write,” she said, snipping at them.
Hoz opened his mouth in protest, but Link just snorted. “Yes, Your Highness.”
“I’m not a princess,” Zelda said, crossly, looking over the charts. “I’m just a woman.” And I want to go home.
