Summary
She tries to leave a gap between herself and Clarke, room for stuttered syllables and half formed thoughts, space for red and wrong and want. (If I leaned a little to the left, bet our fingertips would touch.) It doesn't work though, not with Clarke insisting on taking up way more than her half of the bed, a starfish to rival Lexa's rigid plank.
“Hey, Lexa? You know that... person you broke up with? The one that you told me about on the first day of term?”
She turns round to face her, breath hot against Lexa's lips, breaking the invisible barrier of cloth and skin. “Why did you... you know, end things?”
And maybe it's because Clarke said “person” instead of boy, or the fact that it's two am and all her pride has turned to ashes in the dark, but somehow she starts spilling her soul, a tabloid free for all.

"We'll just act..." her eyes flicker to Clarke's shining lips and she feels her voice crack slightly, "normal."

In which Clarke and Lexa end up stuck spending Christmas together with both of their families, desperately trying to hide the fact that they've been having sex for five months. It doesn't help that Lexa is the biggest Grinch in the world and Clarke is determined to make her enjoy the holidays.

Summary
“Oh come on, Clarke, it can’t be news to you that you’re aesthetically pleasing. I mean, just look at you.”
Clarke gave Lexa a dubious look, somehow finding the odd way in which she spoke endearing.
“Aesthetically pleasing? Really?”
“Yes, really. But if you’d like a more commonplace phrase then I guess I could borrow our friends’ one and say that yes, you are smoking hot.”
Clarke and Lexa meet for the first time on a blind date set up by their friends. They meet for the second time when Clarke takes her son to his first day of school only to find out that Lexa is his teacher. After some awkwardness they agree to just be friends but somehow it's too much and not enough all at once.
