Kirishima knew he should look away. Pretend to be distracted by the pool games or the conversation he wasn’t part of. But it was too easy to stay still, to watch Bakugou’s mouth move around words Kirishima couldn’t hear, to track the flex of muscle in his arms when he gestured a little too sharply.
The song shifted into something slower, deeper, and still Kirishima stayed where he was, letting the water lap lazily against his chest, letting the summer night blur into nothing but him.
Bakugou must have felt it, the weight of the stare, the way it stitched heat across his skin. His gaze flicked over, sudden and sharp, catching Kirishima full in the chest. For a moment, neither of them moved. The sounds of the party smeared into static. The only thing real was the way Bakugou looked at him, not surprised, not angry. Something else.
Something that crackled hot and immediate between them, almost visible.
Kirishima didn't smile. Didn’t pretend to be casual. He just held the look, let it speak for him.
I see you. I want you. I’m not sorry.

Summary
Katsuki was so close to losing it, screaming the chorus along with Mina. But his was different – raw, messy, not into a mic, not for the crowd but for him. Loud enough to be heard over the music, seen despite the roaming lights, noticed before anything else. It wasn’t pretty. It wasn’t polished.
It was real.
The crowd felt it – they all did. Some screamed louder, others stilled like they were witnessing something private and electric they shouldn’t be watching.Kirishima’s eyes opened slowly.
He turned, lips quirked in something dangerous and knowing.
Bakugou met his gaze, chest heaving.
The final notes hit hard, the music crashing down like a wave, leaving behind only the sound of cheering and the buzz of something that had gone too far to take back.
Mina raised her mic, pushing her hair out of her face, voice breathless and shining. “Thank you for being here with us tonight!”
The lights cut, the crowd roared.
And Katsuki didn’t look away from Eijirou.
