Summary
After the Spire crumbles to the ground, Pure Vanilla and his companions try to return to Crispia, only for Pure Vanilla to fall ill and the way home to be completely blocked. His powers aren't working quite right and he finds himself visiting a certain blue and black jester in his dreams. Slipping between shadows doesn't come naturally to him, but the channel between the two cookies is open and he just can't seem to resist visiting his new friend.
a.k.a: Pure Vanilla accidentally uses Shadow Milk's powers to spy on him in the pursuit of friendship! Also, they are inexplicably linked and neither of them are super happy about it :p

It raised a gloved hand toward your face, and you froze in pure animal terror. You were going to die. Considering your place of employment, it wasn’t a surprise it would end this way.
The hand hovered inches from your face. The SCP had paused, its fingers almost touching your cheek, and then it changed course. It brushed the loose strands of hair from your face.
It touched you. The smooth leather of its glove grazed your temple, putting the hairs back in place behind your ear. It was a light touch, barely there, but more than enough to kill you.
