Rozanov cocked his head. “You speak Russian? Or just the curse words?”
“Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.
“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
“Go fuck yourself.”

Despite an inauspicious start, when Russia’s Ilya Rozanov learns that Canada’s Shane Hollander is fluent in Russian at their first World Junior Championships tournament, it changes everything and sets them on a different course. Instead of being branded as rivals from the very beginning, Ilya and Shane start off as friends.
And, after all, a little friendly rivalry never hurt anyone, did it?

Summary
Shane stares at him with those wide, brown doe eyes that liquifies Ilya’s heart. “Ilya is a pretty name.” He says softly. “You’re pretty too.”
“Am I?” Ilya laughs lightly. He taps on Shane’s curled up fingers. Understanding Ilya’s intentions, Shane opens his palm up, letting Ilya guide it up to his face. Ilya lets go when Shane’s fingers are just shy of contact, dealer’s choice. Shane hesitates for a moment before deciding to cup Ilya’s cheek.
“Mhm. Pretty eyes.” Shane says woozily, fingers gingerly tracing over Ilya’s features in a way that prompts Ilya to press into his husband’s palm even further.

Summary
The want tears through him like a hurricane, entirely unconcerned with all the destruction it might leave in its wake. Right now, tomorrow doesn’t matter. Right now they don’t have to consider the consequences of this reckless night they’re about to spend together; a night where all their unspoken rules are being tossed out the window in favour of simply letting their bodies be honest.
They can figure all this out later, but now…now Ilya needs Shane naked and writhing beneath him before he combusts.
