“Why do you need to sit in such a narrow space?” Donghyuck snorts as Jeno squeezes himself in between Donghyuck and Jaemin. He could sit literally anywhere else, but chooses to sit right here.
“He’s like a puppy, isn’t he?” Jaemin says. His expression is unreadable. Jeno can’t really tell what he’s thinking. He’s not sure he wants to, not right now at least — not when he’s working.
So Jeno just smiles, pretending the words don’t have an effect on him, pretending he doesn’t already feel the heat crawling up his neck. He squishes himself further in between Jaemin and Haechan. He’s working, for fuck’s sake. He can’t let it show.
“He sure is a puppy.” Renjun says.
They are all looking at him, and… well, shit.

To answer his question, no, Jeno didn’t want to talk about how he was doomed as soon as he met Jaemin and Renjun. How if he were to die tomorrow or in forty years from that moment, he would still belong to them. How he would never stop loving them, how he was completely unable to.
How he always suspected that he’d never be able to fit into their already established relationship, or how he ended up being right in the end.
