“What the fuck are you-?” Kyle squinted before noticing Stan’s swollen cheek, busted lip and black eye — the drying remnants of a bloody nose still upon his upper lip and smeared across his not-swollen cheek. Dry gore had sprayed over his face, shirt and caked on his purpled knuckles. Kyle had a hunch that blood didn't belong to the older boy.
"You usually leave it open." Stan choked. He looked like a deer caught in headlights.
