Summary

Summary
Ayato never thought he would find himself regretting his part in ending the civil war on Inazuman soil.
That alongside the repeal of the Vision Hunt Decree had grown the Yashiro Commission's reputation and with it, the other heads of the Tri-Commission started calling on his unmarried status and lack of heirs quite quickly. Nearly every formal interaction he had following the newfound peace in Inazuma was soon followed by mentions that he should have been engaged years ago or on his third child by now.
The unrest between the elders on the topic leaked into Ayato's only free time in the evenings with countless audiences of proposed marriages from greedy clan heads, driving the Commissioner mad with the near constant dodging of politics. The elder's desperation to go so far out of their comfort zone to marry him off to another clan's daughter only made Ayato all the more willing to sire children with someone they would truly never approve of, if anyone.
Ayato would soon wonder why he had never opened his eyes to the perfect candidate that always stood so proudly and flamboyantly in front of him.

Summary
Gisaeng Hyun meets Soldier Gyu, set in Japanese colonial era Korea, but where the gisaeng wear joseon-era outfits. Touches on resistance and espionage.
This fic is essentially a compilation of draft drabbles I did on twitter following Woohyun's cosplay as a gisaeng at the 2018 fanmeet, and Sunggyu as a soldier in Shinheung Military Academy. Please don't throw stones at me for any historical inaccuracies! And apologies for not highlighting more of the gisaeng's professional artistic side. I took certain liberties for the fic.
I've posted this in chapters since it started its life as a series of tweeted drabbles. I've also done some extra work on the original drafts to try to make it work more coherently as a fic, but it will ultimately still read more like a series of fragments than your average fic.
I've often felt that this could have benefited from being expanded much more, both in terms of emotional and character development, and also in terms of plot. But for what it's worth, here we are. I hope this fic does some justice to the multitude of feelings and desires that gisaeng hyun and soldier gyu had aroused on twitter.
