Summary
“No post on Sundays” Uncle Vernon announced happily, “No damn letters today-”
Something came whizzing down the kitchen chimney as he spoke and caught him sharply on the back of the head. The next moment, thirty or forty letters came pelting out of the fireplace like bullets.
“That does it!” he snapped, his beady little eyes focused solely on Harry, “It’s you that they want. And they won’t stop coming after us until you’re… gone”.
Harry didn't like the sound of that.
“But Vernon, we can’t! You heard what that- that despicable old man told us!”
“Don’t worry, pet” Vernon said, his nasty grin triumphant, “I’ll leave him someplace so far away that those freaks will never trace him back to us. There’s an institute up north, for these- these hopeless cases and whatnot - St Brutus's Secure Centre for Boys. I’ll leave him there, and then we can get back to our nice, normal life”.Or, the one where Harry doesn't attend Hogwarts in first year but finds his way to the wizarding world anyway, and this changes everything.

Summary
“I am a soldier. I have seen worse sights than this.”
Darkness. As defined by years in a pit, in yawning, relentless night. Darkness as all-consuming absence. Darkness as a cell.
There must be something seriously wrong with her, because even now—
Light. As defined by magic, god’s will in his hands. Light as destruction rained from on high. Light as a kiss.
Even now, Harry still can’t leave him behind.

Summary
Harry Potter is screwed.
With a penchant for Firewhiskey and late-night parties, he had no idea that he would find a handsome man in his bed the next morning, when he wakes up; already late for his first day at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies as a Healer trainee. He also had no idea that his mom’s ex-boyfriend would have an axe to grind, the most eager girl would follow him around like she’d been hit with a Permanent Sticking Charm, or that the handsome man in his bed that morning was his boss, Tom Marvolo Riddle, Head of Spell Damage.
Like I said, Harry Potter is screwed.

Summary
In the distance, a man, a monster, a monolith. His soul, crumpled, reformed, incomplete.
In the foreground, a girl, a bright eyed, sharp-elbowed walking prophecy. Her fate was a muddled, messy thing.
A man smiled, sharp edged.
Here, the girl’s gasp, here, his hand on her throat, here, the intersection of two souls in two bodies.
