Summary
Quaritch lifts a hand to push, to claw, to do something, but all he does is sink it into a fistful of Jake’s hair and slide it down his neck. When Jake finally lets him go, he’s dizzy, gagging on the mix of their spit and his own blood.
“You done?” Jake asks, and Quaritch can hear that he’s breathless too, and he turns his head as much as he can under Jake’s heavy hand. Sully’s gazing down at him, one eye dark with a broken blood vessel, and his lips are parted just enough for Quaritch to see the blood smeared over Jake’s teeth and coating his mouth and chin. His blood. God, Sully looks good like this. The fighter Quaritch always knew he was.
“I asked if you were fucking done.”
-----
Quaritch follows Jake Sully into the ruins of Hell's Gate, confident he has him cornered. He doesn't count on the tables turning.

“Jake Sully,” Quaritch smirked, crouching down to wait for his enemy in the shade. “You are mine.”
༄
Colonel Miles Quaritch doesn't mind being sent out on a solo mission to track down the Omatikaya rebel leader, Jake Sully. Even in a brand new body and living a brand new life, he still hates him more than ever.
Still wants him more than ever.
And this time, he's not going to let Jake go... not until he sees his commanding officer as he's never seen him before. -

Summary
Jonathan Byers does not like Robin Buckley and he especially does not like Eddie Munson.
After things with Vecna have settled down, Jonathan can't help but notice the way that Steve's new friends never seem to leave him alone, taking up all of his attention, and he can't help but feel that it's unfair. Steve has been involved in all of this since the first incident, he's be through this four times - just like Jonathan and Nancy. It doesn't make sense that just one or two encounters with the horrors that dwell in Hawkins would create that strong of a bond when he and Steve have barely spoken in the past year. It's as if at some point during Jonathan's time in California, Steve decided to replace him and Nancy with two, frankly quite loud and annoying newbies who, as far as Jonathan is concerned, have barely even scratched the surface of understanding just how cursed this place is. It's just not fair.
