The undying flames of battle that had raged for an age finally sputtered into smoking embers. The leaders were dead. The war was done.
That night the deputies, before they left to tend their wounds, struck a truce. Never again would the two Clans fight. Never again was a claw to pierce the pelt of their opposite. The Clans settled on opposite ends of the bottom of the valley, and that night, a great storm raged.
When the sun crested the peaks and canyon walls, the green valley had become a desolate desert, and the ashes of the dead had settled into a vast, dry expanse that no cat could cross, forever cursed with the heat of the flames that had burned up the dead. Their ancestors had punished them for their lifetimes of hatred, and we have suffered for it since.
__________For generations, the cats of the desert valley have lived in peace. DroughtClan and DouseClan, bound for as long as anyone can remember by an ancient truce. For as long as any cat has lived, there has been peace.
But things are stirring. Death stalks in the shadows, outsiders become denmates, tensions rise like hairs on a pelt, and the ancient promise hangs in the balance...

A story about a masked who encounters its host's crew.
you had a body is the first; there are two branches from there. These branches are different endings, or paths, to you had a body, equally true; I couldn't decide which one to write, so there's both! (And then I got attached to that second ending; and now there's a sequel to a sequel.)
First 4 fic titles are snippets from Famous Prophets (Minds) by Car Seat Headrest.
Any stories after these first 4 are just me playing more with the world; these OCs hold a special place in my heart and I like putting them in situations :)

Optimization is V1’s specialty. From projectile punching to explosion-propelled feats of acceleration, V1 was made to make itself better: faster. To achieve maximum performance, it opts to optimize its energy usage. A more efficient source of biofuel may exist—but V1 needs a means to extract it. A particular peripheral used by Mindflayers seems promising.
V1 intends to test it on Gabriel. There must be something better than blood.

The slayer cocks its head. He's not expecting it to speak - it never has - but its low rattling laughter, as always, makes every hair on the back of his neck stand on end. He's never powerless in any negotiation, not even with them, but laying in bed while it stares at him does make him feel like a rabbit looking into the eyes of a wolf.
He shouldn't be fond of the feeling, but in that case, he shouldn't make it a habit to let the Chosen of Bhaal fuck him. There's a thrill to giving up control to them; it's not something he'd allow anyone else.
