Summary
Malcolm Matthews is asking Natalie to babysit his fucking kid, who’s apparently well enough to get discharged from the looney bin but not well enough to live on her own. Curiosity prickles in her brain – she wonders if Lottie has grown out her bangs, if her voice is the same, – things Natalie hasn’t wondered about for years. Does she even want to see Lottie? She fucked them over to hell and back with that ritual cult bullshit, but still. She wonders, dimly, if her therapist would say seeing Lottie would 'trigger a maladaptive response'.
