Summary
Three years ago a horrible murderous night happened in Whitestone. The entire De Rolo family and their family friends the Bradbury family were killed. The only survivor was the Bradbury's daughter, Laudna. Vex'ahlia, dealing with her boyfriend's death, takes two-year-old Laudna rather than let her go into the foster system. Its been three years and today is Laudna's first day of Kindergarten and Vex is kind of freaking out about it. She hopes that whoever Laudna's teacher is, she knows what she's doing.
Or
Vex has to take her goddaughter Laudna in for her first day of school where she meets her teacher, Ms. Keyleth.

Summary
When Vex agreed to bring Saundor as her +1 to her brother's wedding, it had been a dream scenario. They were young, in love, and both breaking their backs for their careers, so a vacation to the Bay of Gifts was a perfect break for them to re-commit themselves to each other while celebrating Vax and Gilmore's nuptials.
There's just one problem.
They broke up, and now Vax is asking her to pay for that gap in the vacation, money that she cannot afford, so she has to think fast. Maybe her brain is working too fast when she tells Vax, then, that she actually does have a partner. A girlfriend who would love to come along for the trip in Saundor's stead! What luck, now she doesn't have to pay, someone else can enjoy the trip, and Vex doesn't look pathetic. The only problem is: Vex is still very, pathetically single, so she has to find someone to pose as her SO and fast.
Enter, Keyleth Ashari.
To Vex, nothing in this arrangement can go wrong (until she has to orchestrate a breakup, something that hurts to even think about at the start).
To Keyleth, everything can go wrong (because sometimes even looking at Vex sends her into a yearning tailspin).
Their only goal? Make it until the wedding.
