“You’re a liar, Hotch,” Spencer says. He rises, swaying close. “Can you even remember the last time you told yourself the truth?”

There's always something hidden in the dark, something that follows you around corners, that lingers in alleys waiting for you to let your guard down. Spencer thought he was that "something", until he met the Priest. He thought he would never feel the kiss of a ray of sunshine again, until he felt the warm embrace of someone that paid him just a tiny amount of attention.
For the first time in decades he felt seen, almost if like the black rotten piece of death meat in the center of his chest started beating again.
