Xie Lian let go of Hua Cheng's hand. His eyes travelled up Hua Cheng's arm and to the nape of his neck, where a matching mark was branded on his skin. Gently, Xie Lian traced the crescent of the tattoo with two fingers. When he pulled away, he realized his eyes were wet.
“You tattooed my bite on your claiming spot,” Xie Lian said, his voice thick with emotion.

——It wasn't until he got teleported in the middle of bathing, that Lan Xichen finally took this teleportation phenomenon seriously, with the utmost importance!

Certainly there cannot be but a number of young women who would be ready to give anything for my hand.” His tone is still measured, never straying from the pleasant polite tone he usually sports, though Wei Wuxian can tell his facade is wavering.
“Marry me then.”
The words are out before he can stop them. He doesn’t know where they came from. Marriage is never anything he has ever given much thought to. Sure, he always imagined he’d find some peerless beauty and settle down eventually, Lotus Pier has more than enough of them. What he feels for Lan Xichen is nothing like those fleeting thoughts of a teenage dream long gone though.
He wills himself to meet the other man’s eyes, his heart sinking a bit at the sadness they hold when he lets out a humourless huff.
