Summary
Belatedly, Agatha realizes she’s nervous. She never gave Rio an answer one way or the other– not deeming the situation serious enough to unblock her number– but now she has the sudden burning fear that maybe Rio won’t be here after all and she’ll have to do this by herself.
She thinks she might throw up her coffee in the decorative, half-dead bushes lining the parking lot at the thought, but then Agatha sees her.
Leaning against the building just to the side of the front doors, face drawn in concentration beneath her sunglasses as she talks into her cell phone, her free arm crossed over her chest while her hand gesticulates in time with her words. She taps one brown loafer-clad foot against the concrete, clearly displeased with whoever she's talking to. The sunlight catches on the defined muscles of her arms, golden bronze and mouthwatering.
The moment Rio sees her she lifts the sunglasses from her face, meeting Agatha’s eyes and quickly wrapping up her conversation. She was waiting for me, Agatha realizes. Unsure what to do with that, she simply crosses the lot to meet her.
Or: The one where an estranged Agatha & Rio find themselves joining a class action lawsuit together.

Summary
“Fate etched your demise in the fabric of eternity itself,” Rio says, sweeping her arms open; spiders skitter from the dark creases of her cloak. “It was written eons before your birth. Now – the time has come to – ”
“The end is nigh, sinner!” says a familiar voice behind her. “It is I, Lady Death! Ooga booga!”
If Rio had eyes right now, they’d be twitching. Slowly, she turns to take in the unwelcome (if increasingly-frequent) sight: Agatha, holding a Ghostface Halloween mask over her ghostly face. Draped over her head in a paltry imitation of Rio’s cloak is a sequined black shawl – Billy’s, Rio guesses. She knows that the kid’s been trying his hand at drag recently.
“Oh, this is so embarrassing,” Agatha says, flicking a finger in Rio’s direction. “One of us is gonna have to change.”

Just when a ghostly Agatha decides she's ready to give into Rio's centuries-long pursuit, Rio swears that she's finally done with the pursuing.

“It’s nice,” she nods, taking a second piece before she begins to suck the juice off of her fingers, inserting each one individually into her mouth and releasing them with an audible pop that nearly sends Rio into a coma. Thank God, it’s too dark for Agatha to see the blush on her cheeks, thank God she can’t hear the ferocity with which Rio’s heart is desperately trying to break out of her ribcage.

Rio threads her hand into Agatha’s hair at the nape of her neck, her fingers grasping at the roots. She pulls, just enough to elicit a groan from Agatha. The sound is rough, dragged out from somewhere deep in her chest. It sounds needy. “What the fuck was that for?”
Rio tries to feign innocence. “Just needed your head tilted back a bit.”
“Who knew my new make-up artist liked to play rough?” Agatha’s sharp eyes shift to something darker.

Summary
Agatha Harkness is one of the most prominent professors in the Criminal Justice department at Westview University. Known as "The Witch," her reputation for being a mercilessly demanding professor is recognized across the entire campus.
Rio Vidal is a forest science master's student, or as Agatha likes to call them, "weird-ass hippies."
The two come together to work on a seminar about criminal law in environmental crises. From there, lines blur between differences in age and power imbalance.
Rio Vidal is instantly captivated by Professor Harkness and will do everything it takes to make her hers, including taking very questionable measures. Meanwhile, Agatha battles her own impulses and desires to keep the relationship strictly casual.
