Coles and Woolies are the two major supermarket chains in Australia. Their advertisements are inescapable, and almost every Australian will have shopped there.
Coles and Woolies are fierce competitors, and are commercially at war with each other. Behind the scenes though, they have been accused of collaboration and price-fixing. They are superficially different (different colour schemes, logos etc) but are actually pretty much identical in their tactics, approach, and business models. They are both known for squeezing ordinary humans, especially supplier farmers, until they are almost bankrupt.
Their frontline staff, on the other hand, are generally nice average Aussies just trying to do their best in an oppressive work system.
People tend to be loyal either to Woolies or Coles, mainly because they set up loyalty programs (points for purchases) that promise rewards at some point in the future.
How this all relates to the Good Omens Heaven and Hell is hard to say 😉
