Summary
In this Short Story, Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen place Wangji under house arrest after finding out he went to visit Wei Wuxian at the burial mounds. They had enough of this nonsense and decided that they would go talk to Wei Wuxian once in for all, and tell him that what he is doing is wrong!
What will happen when they finally see what Wangji has been trying to tell them all this time?
What will happen when they see the true intentions of Wei Wuxian and it was never to start a war, but to save people's lives.

Summary
Lan WangJi travels to Yiling to tell Wei WuXian his sister is getting married, but when he arrives he does not find a demonic warlord. He finds instead a doting father, an encouraging farmer, and a paranoid man who struggles to keep it all together.
Lan WangJi thought he could just come and leave once. He is not his father's son. Except he is. That night Lan Zhan stays with him in the burial mounds and vows he won't abandon him again. He'll juggle Wei Ying and Cultivation world until it kills him.

His feet were like stone rooted into the ground. Lan Zhan could find no courage to move forwards away from the burial mounds where he did not belong. Lan Zhan could find no courage to turn around and run back up the mountain to the burial mounds were he longed to be. He stayed, once more frozen on the threshold of wrong and right. On the thin line of what you want to do and what you should do. (I want to stay) The only way he can hold onto it a little longer is to stay rooted until Wei Ying’s pretty voice fades into a silence that haunts him. Then he hears it, soft and sing-song on the wind:
“Who cares about the crowded broad avenue?”
And it breaks him.
