She was dressed for the evening in a short dark blue dress with a slashed neck that came all the way down her arms to her wrists. Her long dark hair was shiny and perfectly coiffed. Her silver high heels rested on the bar of her stool. She looked like a hostess who'd just come off duty.
She sat up and stretched a little, and Kiryu had two almost simultaneous thoughts:
1) she had quite broad shoulders; and
2) that was a man.
He walked over and took the stool next to the crossdresser because it was the only one free.

Majima took his elbows off the table and slammed it with his palm, making the beer cans and the ashtray jump, laughing maniacally.
“There's no way I'm comin' all the way out to this backwoods town without even tryin' to find my favorite dragon!”
“Speaking of that,” Kiryu said weakly, “How exactly did you find me?”
Majima's grin broadened. “Nah-ah, Kiryu-chan,” he wiggled his finger. “A guy can't go 'round revealin' his sources. Let's just say a little bird told me 'bout an apartment that the Dojima family had in Sapporo. Decided to check it out. Secured a spot in that cafe on the corner and waited for ya to show up. Honin' my detective skills.”
“So when you saw me coming,” Kiryu said slowly, trying to comprehend. “You climbed up on that roof like a cat and jumped me?”
Majima hee-hee-heed in response. “Ya gotta have that element of surprise in your life, Kiryu-chan. Otherwise, it's just plain borin’!”
Kiryu looked at him incredulously. Rumor had it that Majima was batshit crazy. He was starting to believe it.

Since settling down at the Morning Glory Orphanage, Kiryu has not spoken to Majima at all aside from one cataclysmic phone call shortly after his departure from Kamurocho. A year and a half of silence has passed, and yet here he is on Kiryu's doorstep, bringing all their unfinished business with him. Kiryu thought time apart would weaken his feelings for him. He was wrong.
