Summary
It’s now the silence in a calm day that frightens him. The gentle breeze of a warm day. The soft sound of pop music is too far for him to truly decipher what artist is playing. With Vecna in play, nothing is safe. And while Steve had Robin, and somewhat of a nice friendship with Nance, he had no one to talk to about the crushing weight of anxiety, paranoid, hallucinations, and PTSD that utterly consumed his every waking step.
After all, they knew that pain. Shared it with him, a bond forged in blood and settled in scars. He couldn't worry them about him, because they had their own issues and as the (self decided, accidental) protector of the group, he couldn't burden them.
So, he turns to a friend he never thought he’d have. Someone he never got along with when they were kids, even though they shared the same hallways, and made eye contact in passing way too many times to count. A person who used to crash his parties only to walk in the outskirts of the shadows, so nobody except his buyers and Steve knew he was there.
Eddie Munson.
Or, more accurately, Eddie Munson’s grave.

“What do you call you?” Steve tests carefully, and the boy’s eyes get just a little bigger.
“Eddie,” he says. “My name is Eddie.”

Summary
What's the first thing you remember? The soothing touch of a parent? The joy of running around a playground? For Eddie his whole childhood was a blur, or even just blank- that should have really been the first sign something wasn't quite right.
AKA Eddie was one of the Hawkins experiments but only remembers cos ya boy Vecna reminds him, and Eddie doesn't have a good time. :)

Steve stacked the usable band cassettes into a tower and made a mental note to get a tape carrier for them.
And then he took the blank tapes upstairs to his room’s stereo to play them through, check if anything was on them.
The first tape was blank, the second was a collection of songs recorded from the radio, the third was also blank. The fourth cassette, though.
The fourth cassette was Eddie.

Set in s5 Squawk!Era, Eddie's presumed dead and Dustin's still grieving. Steve goes to Eddie's old room to try to find something for Dustin to hold on to. There, he finds a tape Eddie had recorded of himself singing. While Steve wants to keep the tape for himself, he knows all of Hawkins (and the Upside Down) should hear it.
