Summary
“You’re not the first one to sit here daydreaming about Dr. Michael Robinavitch calling you by pet names, and you certainly won’t be the last. He’s popular. Very take charge, lot of people are into that.”
“Yeah. Y-yeah, sure, of course.” Dennis forced himself to relax, praying that it would be enough to negotiate an unspoken reinstitution of his personal space, and Trinity seemed to notice, sitting back upright with crossed arms and a not-fully-convinced expression. “Yeah, we- I- It’s a crush. I have a crush. That’s all it-”
“What?!” As soon as her hands were gone they returned, and Trinity grabbed Dennis by the knees, squeezing so hard that he flinched back with a soft yelp. She rolled her eyes and leaned in, dropping her voice to just above a whisper. “You said we. Oh my God, are you and Robby-”

“No.” Dennis cuts him off. He looks up at Robby with a look, and presses a flat tongue against the wet spot over the fabric. “We’re gonna do it like this.”
This kid was going to kill him, is Robby’s last thought before Dennis takes the tip of his cock, cloth and all, into his mouth and sucks.

Summary
“I don’t know what I want to do.” Dennis admits. He looks over at Robby, staring at the side of his face. They’ve been closer than this before, but being in the car together feels strangely intimate. “What would you do?”
“If it was me… I’d at least go for that dinner. But I’m not you. You need to do what’s best for you, Dennis.”
There it is again, his name from Robby’s mouth. It makes his attention linger, still staring at Robby’s face. Dennis is once again overwhelmed with the urge to just bury his face in Robby’s neck and pretend the world doesn’t exist, but that’s not the grown up thing to do. He squeezes his eyes shut for a second, rubs his temples with his fingertips as Robby continues, “Carry your patients with you as much or as little as you like. Find your balance. But remember that you’re human.”
Dennis opens his eyes to the countryside fading away and the city bleeding in. He knows Robby is right. That’s what he needs: balance.
In his last year of med school, Dennis learns to let go of the guilt that plagues him.
