Summary
Childe gets an academic warning when his grades drop below par, and is about to be kicked off the team if he can't bring them up before the end of this grading period. Thankfully for him, peers and even professors refer him to the university's valedictorian, who practically lives in the library, doing a public service of tutoring. Childe hates asking for help, but with nationals coming around the corner, he doesn't have time to cram everything in while practicing (he's been banned from the school's rink so he has to make an hour drive to the closest public one). What he doesn't expect, however, is for the valedictorian to be so distracting.
Or, Zhongli knows just how to get Childe to focus when he can't seem to pay attention.

He’d noticed it at the beginning of their lunch date, when Zhongli had reached up to brush something off of Childe’s shoulder and adjusted his scarf a little more loosely around his neck. His fingers had brushed the skin of Childe’s neck, and that had almost been too much, but then Childe had caught a flash of thin, delicate veins in his peripheral vision when Zhongli had stretched his hand to brush some of Childe’s hair out of his face, and that had been too much.
Wrist. Zhongli was showing wrist.

Summary
Most of the messages in Childe's chat are either excited or impatient, urging him to start already. A few have even started donating, which is expected for a session as busy as this. But Zhongli isn’t a vocal subscriber: he never speaks in the chat, and if he does donate, it is always when Childe is offline. Being noticed would make him more uncomfortable than anything, though he can understand why people would want the attention.
(Because Childe is, in fact, remarkably handsome.)
(It’s something that Zhongli is tentative to admit, but it’s true nonetheless: between the angles of each sharp expression and the eerie confidence he exudes… everything about him is as dangerous as it is inviting. Childe is the type of man that others can’t help but want to impress, drawing out the strange urge to please him in some way.)
(Perhaps that is why Zhongli keeps coming back, among other reasons.)
Zhongli is a psychiatrist with a violent masochistic streak. It is only satisfied by the brutal acts that Childe streams to the dark web, and while Zhongli likes to keep this part of his life separate, maybe it was only a matter of time until they were meant to meet.
