    “That’s bullshit.” Bakugou growls, sitting up tall in his seat.

    “What is?” Hitoshi asks goadingly, raising a brow in his direction.

    “-This-!” Bakugou gestures to the movie playing. “This whole fuckin’ scene. A couple fucking in front of someone else. With someone else. People don’t fuckin’ do this shit- they don’t just-”

    “...We do.” Hitoshi finishes coolly- confidently- his voice a gentle purr through the now-stagnant air.

    Everyone predictably goes silent.

    “...No. Fuck that.” Bakugou bites out. “You two talk a big game, but I’m calling bullshit. When the time came, you wouldn’t do it. Not like that.”

    Hitoshi blinks at him.

    “You wanna bet-?”

    Lan Zhan doesn’t think about him anymore.

    The days when he would obsess over every tiny work Wei Ying appeared in are long gone. His days of buying every magazine he was in, of taping his interviews and watching them over and over again just to get a piece of the real him, they’re all over. Lan Zhan doesn’t follow every project Wei Ying is a part of anymore, doesn’t try to find out if Wei Ying ever mentioned him anywhere, and doesn’t keep the TV on just in case he hears Wei Ying’s voice in a new commercial.

    He has weeks, and even months, when Wei Ying doesn’t even cross his mind at all. And when he does, it is only with a faded kind of fondness, a simmering affection to the memories they shared together.

    He’s happy for the things Wei Ying achieved. There is almost no hurt at all, almost no pain. And almost must be just as good as none.

    Lan Zhan's world is turned upside down when his High School love, famous actor Wei Wuxian, comes back to their hometown after 13 years.

    Lan Wangji is kissing him, and kissing him, and kissing him, because he can do nothing else. Wei Ying is huffing breathless laughter into it, and holding him close until he is done.

    “You like it, then,” he says through a satisfied grin.

    Again, Lan Wangji does not think that quite covers how he feels knowing that Wei Ying had thought about him, about what they had done, about his words, and had transformed those thoughts into new cultivation theory and weeks of work, just to give him a gift. Lacking any way to fully express this, he simply nods.

    Wei Ying’s grin turns predatory. “Want to try it?”

     

    Wei Wuxian gives Lan Wangji a gift. He struggles to cope with how much he likes it.
    This turned into over 20k of smut with a loosely consistent emotional thread and I don't even know how it happened.
