Summary
For supposedly being one of the finest Knowers in decades, Tally often felt like she knew very little.
She didn't know how to process the dreams that kept her up at night since becoming un-biddied. Mothertongue, that was tough. Handling Raelle and Abigail's teasing about her life choices, that could be a lot.
And mostly, she definitely didn't have a clue how to handle having a debilitating attraction and world-class crush on the most powerful woman on the literal planet, who definitely would never feel the same way.
Anyway. It was fine. It was all just fine.
Or,
Tally's nightmares never stop; in fact, they become a form of emotional torture that keeps her up at night. Alder, in a twist, agrees to help Tally through late-night meetings, and Tally is faced with an entirely different kind of emotional torture.

Summary
This story changes the trajectory of the second season of Xena. Gabrielle marries Perdicus, but Callisto doesn't kill him. So, all the events of the second season and beyond don't happen, including the death of Solan. What if Xena's life has fallen apart without her bard? What if Gabrielle is utterly miserable, only the daughter she's had with Perdicus giving her joy. What if Xena just can't stay away?
