some were quite obviously their first tries, and it was equal parts heartwarming and bittersweet that he was some of their first attempts at drawing, something they wouldn’t want to risk forgetting. many of these drawings likely dated back to when their relationship was nothing more than manipulator and manipulated, and it stung, being reminded of how he treated them back then — like a tool to be discarded when their use had come to an end, just as he was once treated, and could be again.
but looking at them now, how far the two had come together. cuddled around a campfire now that tav had moved off their log to sit next to him, snuggled close to his side as they watched him flip through the pages, and having talks about things that neither would dare to tell another soul about.
thinking about how far they’ve come together, he found himself half smiling.

Robin felt relief flood her heart as the realization that Steve and Nancy would be getting herself out of this hellhole sooner rather than later hit her. But that didn’t calm the gut feeling she had that something would definitely go wrong. Robin would be thankful just to get out of here. And then resume her unrequited pining, as Steve had put it, in peace.
Robin knew that she liked Nancy. Dare she even say she loved her?
Or, Robin gets dragged away by vines in the Upside Down, leading Nancy to pretty much go on a feral rampage to free her from the vines that entangle her. Based off some scenes form the vol 2 trailer that showed Robin being pinned against the wall by vines in the Upside Down and Nancy firing her shotgun in the building that looks like the same place that Robin is taken to.
