It is a horrible realization to have, that perhaps Zuko hadn’t thought this entirely through.
Because Sokka is everywhere.
He is in council, he is in the palace, in the barracks, the merchant yards, the gardens. He is bouldering his way into Zuko’s rooms without a second glance at the guards and dragging him out to go sightseeing, to go to the markets, to lay in the sand and watch the stars.
He is everywhere, and he is beautiful.
Or: Zuko asks his friend to come to the Fire Nation as a new council member, and struggles to survive under these conditions.

The voice sounds from behind him in the dark, and Zuko freezes.
No.
Not just freezes, is frozen, muscles taught and unresponsive as his arms stretch wide, blade clattering to the floor with a cacophonous noise. All of his movements are not his own, and he can’t fight against it at all.
Or: Zuko is sent to assassinate the Moon Spirit, and fails spectacularly. (he doesn't mind though)

Summary
When the Rogues are back in the States after being pardoned, the New Avengers want nothing to do with them and as far as Tony is concerned, if he never speaks to them again, it'll be too soon. After all, he didn't spend the last year putting himself (and his family) back together only for his former co-workers to ruin all of his hard work.
But then he gets a hand-written letter from the Winter Soldier himself, apologizing for the events that transpired and an off-handed comment from Rhodey about Rogers failing to take care of an obviously miserable Bucky Barnes sets in motion Tony's new, oh-so-evil plan to get some payback.
After all, what better revenge than to steal the Winter Soldier away from his best friend?
The only problem: Tony sucks at being vengeful, but apparently he's an expert at inadvertently falling in love.

Zoro's teeth and fists clenched until his knuckles went white and his canines ground into each other. Each little jab, each professional condescension, made that itching feeling grow into an agitating burn.
"Blackleg, my boy, that's where you're wrong. Sword-boy's skillset is essential to this mission. There's no job without him."
Zoro had to suppress a cocky smirk begging to spread across his face. "In that case, I want a different partner."
"Nobody else on your team is qualified."
Now, the only thing Zoro had to suppress was the urge to bash his head into the desk.
