Summary
“What,” Bucky finally sputters, “the hell.”
Hot Guy turns around, eyebrows furrowed. “What?”
“You literally - that - a bookshelf, you held up a whole fucking bookshelf, how the hell did you -”
Bucky pauses for breath. His thoughts are racing, and Hot Guy, looking far too amused, is not helping. “Who the hell are you?” he manages. In hindsight, some thanks would have been in order, but this guy just supported the whole weight of a bookshelf and Bucky is seriously confused. And also a little turned on, not like that’s relevant.
[or; the one where Bucky can’t reach a book and ends up knocking over the whole shelf, and, just his luck, Steve Rogers is there.]

Summary
Bucky switches the orientation of his camera, and without any warning, hauls Steve around so the skyline is behind both of them. “Smile!” he exclaims, not even giving Steve time to react before the camera goes off.
“Hey, I wasn’t ready!” yelps Steve. Bucky looks incredible as ever in the picture, relaxed and carefree, while Steve’s face looks - well, as the kids would say about his startled expression, pretty fucking relatable.
[or: Steve, Bucky, and Instagram stories. It goes about as well as you’d expect.]

Summary
"I won’t make a deal,” Pure Vanilla says, plain and simple. “Not unless I understand every word of it. Not unless I believe it fair. And not if the price is someone else’s pain.”
“You dare to set your terms,” The fae murmurs, his voice no longer playful. No longer velvet. It is frost now, delicate and sharp enough to flay skin. “You sit in my ring, in my garden, and you deny me?”
Pure Vanilla meets his gaze, calm and clear. “Yes.”
The fae snarls.
“I could kill you,” the fae whispers. “Slit you open like a fruit. Spill your mortal heat onto my garden and let the flowers drink your heart."
“You could,” Vanilla agrees mildly. “But I’m told human meat is stringy, and frankly, I’m not sure I’d make a good stew.” He takes another small bite of rice, chews serenely. “Besides, isn’t that just a myth? You lot eating people.”
“You’re testing me,” The fae snaps. “I should curse your tongue to rot in your mouth. I should blight your precious village until even the stones forget your names.”
“Can’t,” Vanilla says lightly, tapping the side of his riceball with one finger. “You’d need my true name. And I’m fairly certain you don’t have it.”
The fae curses.

Summary
“Up!” he demanded, splashing a bucketful of water on Pure Vanilla’s unsuspecting, slumbering form. He sputtered like a dead faucet, wiping soda water off his cheeks as he rose from the soggy sheets.
“Shadow Milk-” he coughed, “Shadow Milk Cookie? What on Earthbread are you-?”
“This is an intervention,” he announced. “Has anyone ever told you that you reek?”
Or: Pure Vanilla Cookie isn't taking care of himself, and Shadow Milk Cookie is (unfortunately) going to do something about it.

Summary
When Pure Vanilla throws open the balcony doors and holds his staff aloft, the first thing he sees are the tree’s branches devoid of his feathered friends. It’s an unwelcome sight, a clear departure from their usual routine. Had something happened? Has someone drawn them away?
A flutter of movement draws his eyes upwards towards the roof; instantly, relief floods through Pure Vanilla’s jam. The flock is mercifully still here, perched above his head on a nearby rooftop. They are, however, strangely silent and still, huddled closely together while glancing between Pure Vanilla and the tree. Pure Vanilla follows their nervous gaze, peering into the branches as he holds his staff high –
Only to spy a long, lithe form curled in the shadows.
