Summary
"Hey," Jason says, poking his head in through the door, making sure his body is angled so that there's no way the boy inside will be able to see Bruce.
That's as far as he gets before he falters.
The boy inside the dim-lit cell is tucked as far back into the corner of the cot as he can get, scrawny limbs wrapped around himself like the curled husk of a spider. His teal eyes are locked on Jason, but he doesn't move — not even a flinch.
He's as perfectly frozen as a bird in the brush as a hound sniffs closer.
Jason swallows, his throat abruptly so tight it's hard to breath. He's not sure either of them are.
The boy's eyes flick just a fraction past him, to the open cave beyond. One of them is surrounded by a dark bruise.
Jason steps cautiously into the cell, closing the door behind him, and watches his own eyes dim as his escape route closes.

Summary
“It’s a shame, I think,” Dad’s eyes rove back to Mike and El. They’re holding hands under the table, Mike’s swinging it back and forth very slowly, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. It reminds Nancy painfully of Steve, and she has to look up sharply. “That my boy will never get the same experience.”
Hopper sets down his fork with a sharp clang. “Do you have a problem with my thirteen-year-old daughter?”
AKA: Mike invites El over to the Wheelers' house for her first Sunday dinner. It goes about as well as expected.

Summary
There were hundreds if not a thousand other travellers that had been put out, it was not like Bruce and Tim alone were a little uncomfortable.
Then again, those unrelenting lights alone might very well be enough to trigger a seizure, especially when exhaustion and stress that was normal when traveling factored into everything.
It had been on Tim’s insistence that they’d traveled like this to begin with, rightfully pointing out that it had been a long time since Bruce Wayne had been seen traveling for work or for pleasure. They could have instead chartered a private plane or simply used the Batplane to get to California for the conference but as it was, they were now stuck here.
Tim made a small sound and Bruce shifted a little, keeping Tim steady.
When Tim’s head dipped a little, Bruce gently readjusted him but it soon dropped down again.
“I’m right here, Lad,” Bruce mumbled.
If Tim could still hear him, he gave no sign, but Bruce spoke to his son all the same. It was always possible that Tim was either partially or fully aware of his surroundings, especially in his smaller medical episodes like this one.

It would have gone perfectly. If the Executioner didn't get him first.
