Summary
A week or so before Hydra’s final offensive, Arnim Zola is supervising the loading of weapons and supplies onto a train to transport them to Hydra HQ. One thing after another goes wrong. The train leaves late. There is traffic on the tracks. And then, the Howling Commandoes turn up. The change in his fortunes is devastating, and yet, within this tremendous defeat, is an opportunity for a new triumph.
This story follows the canon from shortly before the train scene in CA:TFA through to the last scene from Agent Carter, told from Zola’s perspective.

Gamora is there when Loki falls into Thanos’ hands, and she’s there to watch Loki break under torture. She’s not going to defy her father (yet), but in the beginning, she gives Loki a little advice: find a core truth about yourself and bury it deep, and once Thanos has broken and remade you into what he wants, something of you might still be left. (This fic is basically complete; I still need to finish Part III, but it's a complete story already.)

In his waking horror, he realized as he ruined the very pajamas still crumpled from his grip, he wanted to be dominated by Superman. The very thought made him sick to his stomach, repulsed by his own subconscious and so thoroughly turned on it made his back arch involuntarily. So much power wasted on stomach-churning kindness, the capabilities of a god borne to a man that dressed in primary colors with his underwear on the outside of his leotard.
Months of incidents. Excuses to get close, be pinned or shoved or even once stiff-armed. And to the sticky, molten delight in the pit of Lex’s stomach it started to work.
And Clark? He’s not sure if he should feel guilty over just how little guilt he feels. Lex wants something from him. He wants something from Lex. Does the arrangement still work when the asking price raises?
