They don't really celebrate Christmas in the Gojo Clan. Satoru got whatever he wanted all year round, so birthdays and Christmas were no different.
They didn’t decorate, didn't play Christmas music, didn't watch any holiday movies, they didn't even say “Merry Christmas.”
Even though the house looked the same as it did all year. The energy was horribly depressing, because while people shined their lights and played their songs for miles. The Gojo Clan mansion was just like a hole in the middle of it all.

Suguru looks up at Satoru again, then swallows. “It would.” He waits, but Satoru doesn’t say anything, so he continues — anything to fill the weighted silence. “I understand, of course, that I’ve been here a while, so I’ll retain my position until a sufficient replacement has been appointed and trained. But, after that, I’ll —”
The envelope is tossed into the trash can that sits under Satoru’s desk. “No.”
Suguru blinks. “I’m sorry?”
“I’m not reading that.” Satoru answers, reaching for a file in one of his piles. His expression is calm, deceptively so. “I don’t usually overlook mistakes like this, but you’re clearly not in your right mind at the moment and I’m feeling generous, so I’ll let it slide.”
“This isn’t a mistake, sir. I’m resigning.”
A short, disbelieving laugh. “No, you’re not.”
After nine years of working as Satoru's secretary, Suguru decides to resign.
