"Let go of me!" Damon wrestled free from Kai's grip and pointed a piercing finger at his face. "I don't fucking care what happens to you!" He angrily hissed at the taller boy. "Go back to your own dorm and quit bugging me. I'm done with you guys." Damon was one second away from straight-up punching Kai in the stomach. If he didn't fucking let him be for one second, Damon might as well become the next blackened.
However, Kai persisted. "But it's safer for both of us if we sleep in pairs! I-I know you're mad, but… I don't wanna be a victim, and I'm sure you don't either. Please, Damon?" Kai begged. He slowly reeled back and let out a sniffle.

She has the look on her face she always gets when she’s dead-set on something, but beneath that is something imploring—like she truly wants the rest of them to be dead-set on this, too. It's the very expression that has made it impossible for Steve to say no to her all these years, and without meaning to, Steve glances at Jonathan.
He isn’t surprised to find the same recognition he feels reflected on Jonathan’s face, too. But alongside that expression is something resembling what Steve’s pretty sure is...acceptance. As though, just like Steve, Jonathan already knows he’s going to cave.

Megumi says nothing but turns to look at him, half contemplating if he’d just imagined hearing those words. It’s embarrassing honestly, how fast his heart started beating at that suggestion.
Yuji is not looking at him, lying on his back, but his eyes are open staring at the ceiling.
“For warmth,” Yuji adds, as if that clarifies everything.
“For warmth?” Megumi’s voice is weak, but he’s not refusing.
“For warmth.”

"I can buy you the whole damn city, old sport; anything you can possibly dream of," Gatsby whispers feverishly into Nick's ear, pressing a kiss to the other man's temple. "The New Amsterdam Theatre, Central Park Zoo, even....hell, even Lady Liberty, baby."
Nick laughs and shakes his head, the liquor still warm in his throat and causing the world around him to spin too fast. If it weren't for Gatsby's arms around his waist, he'd surely be laying in a heap on the ground.
"You don't need to buy me anything, Jay," he insists softly, feeling as if he's said such a thing too many times to count now.
"But I could. I could buy-"
Nick shakes his head again, turning around in Gatsby's arms and silencing him with a a lopsided smile and a sloppy kiss.
"You could, yes, but you don't have to. In fact...in fact you could sell this grand palace of yours, Jay, and....and lose all of your damned money in the stock market, and I'd still want you."
Gatsby doesn't respond, looking torn between disbelief and tears.
