    Lan Qiren came to ask Wei Wuxian to go see Lan Wangji because of his nephews' request. He had already expected for this talk to not go too well since he would also have to tell Wei Wuxian about Lan Wangji's punishment for siding with him and protecting him.
    And he confirms his fears were not wrong when Wei Wuxian all but breaks down in front of him. Lan Qiren has to quickly think about how to calm him down and snap him out of his self-imposed guilt.

     

    Part of the Lotus Flower series, can be also read as stand-alone fan fiction but I recommend to read it after the previous parts of the series.
