Summary
The entire ring of keys slip from her fingers and hit the sidewalk with a crash. “Motherf—” Korra says under her breath, though she cuts herself off.
“Drop something?” the woman asks, her tone kind. Her voice deep. Smoky.
Korra feels her mouth click shut. “Oh, uh… thank you,” she says, and her throat feels dry despite the fact she’s just swallowed.
The woman tilts her head, an amused smile pulling at the corner of her painted lips. But then, as quickly as it appears, it drops. “Korra?”

Summary
Asami Sato is a masterclass in appearances—CEO of Future Industries, heir to a legacy she never wanted, and a picture of control in thousand-dollar heels. Behind the doors of her luxury home, however, she drinks just enough to keep the memories quiet. Her father’s death. The pressure. The breakup she still hasn’t recovered from.
It’s been three years since she last saw Korra.
Six months since she moved into this quiet neighborhood.
And just long enough to convince herself she’s fine.Until Opal—her bubbly, flirtatious neighbor and only real connection to the world—mentions an old friend is moving in.
Asami doesn’t think twice. She should have.
Because Korra, in all her sharp-edged silence and devastating familiarity, is about to move in next door. And Asami is nowhere near sober enough to handle it.

Summary
Typically, werewolves exhibit some type of inbetween form, where they’re not entirely wolf or entirely man. They’re always grotesque and deformed, hunched and sparsely furred. It was always easier to kill werewolves when they looked like monsters.
So… why didn’t this one?

Summary
“I think I still owe you a ride.”
Korra swipes a hand through her hair, and the shining dark strands feather back down to frame the dusky rose blush blooming across her cheeks. “Well I'd hate to make a liar out of you,” she says. “You're not too busy?”
Asami thinks about the mountain of expense reports waiting for her back in her sweltering office, about another night spent doing math—and not the fun kind—until her eyes glaze over and she falls asleep at her desk without eating, and she briefly entertains the idea of walking into the sea right here and now.
Instead she swings a leg over the side of the jet ski and checks the kill switch, feels the corner of her mouth twitch up into a smile and beckons Korra over with a quick jerk of her head. “Hop on.”

Summary
“You are beautiful,” she says, but not matter-of-factly.
She says it as someone who has discovered a treasure. As someone whose world is different every day because this girl, who can decide the fate of the universe, has chosen to sit beside her and be vulnerable to her at an ungodly hour, with the warm breeze in her hair and kindness in her eyes.
Different moments throughout the developing relationship between Asami and Korra, from their rocky start in season 1 until a married life after the comics.
