Once they were just a few feet apart, Azul practically leapt into Jade’s arms. “Oh, Jade! Happy birthday, darling!” Before Jade could even think to react, Azul pulled back and stood on his tiptoes so he could kiss Jade on both cheeks.
Jade was still reeling as Azul wrapped both of his arms around one of Jade’s, laid his head against his chest, and gazed up at him oh so lovingly.
