Summary
Sophie knows that Mr. Forkle wiped her memories of her childhood to keep her safe. It was the same reason he never allowed her to leave her tower: he wanted to protect her from people who would want to use her for her hair's enhancing properties. But though Sophie knows he is well intentioned, Sophie longs to finally learn where she grew up and what the outside world was like. As the days pass, Sophie continues to wonder: when will her life begin?
Keefe may or may not have just stolen a councillor's circlet and run off, which may or may not have been the reason he was being chased by a palace horse named Silveny. But there was no better place to escape a determined horse than an abandoned tower! Or, well... he thought it was abandoned.
Sophie strikes a deal with the mysterious blonde intruder: if he helps her find the triggers to her memories in the real world, she'll return his satchel to him, complete with the stolen circlet inside. It was never meant to be more than a simple, fair trade. It was never meant to be a love story. But fate, destiny, and possibly a horse have other plans for the two of them.

Summary
Sophie Foster, after a life of homeschooling, first with her foster family, the Fosters, and later her adoptive family, the Ruewens, has never felt more ready for an adventure. Going to college represents not only a new opportunity for learning, but also meeting people, making friends her age, and maybe even meeting boys. Things she's only experienced in books are at the tip of her fingers, and she just can't wait to begin.
Keefe Sencen's parents may be rich, but their fortune isn’t his to spend. His father made it very clear that if he loses his scholarship, his parents will pull him from university and his offer from Judge Emery to forget his… run-ins with the law will expire. Luckily, grades are easy. All he has to do is finish strong on his third and last year of college, and he can go on to get a law degree and use it for revenge on his father.
They both came to college with a plan. Sophie plans to explore and learn. Keefe plans to get his degree and then his revenge. Neither of them are planning to fall in love.

Sophie is an outcast. Biana is her popular roommate. Keefe is the handsome prince with the scandalous reputation who loves one girl and is dating the other. But when the Council reveals that they aren't all that they seem, Sophie's decision to use her talent for sorcery to expose their lies rather than perpetuate them leads to her becoming Public Enemy Number One, something Biana isn't yet quite brave enough to be. But whatever way their stories end, Sophie knows she has rewritten hers by being her friend.
