Summary
It makes no sense for an undamaged Iron Man armor to not be able to catch Rhodey in civil war. Iron Man armor was faster and more maneverable than an F-22. We all saw it in Iron-Man 1. It should easily be able to move and accelerate faster than 9gs. Then why didn't it do so in civil-war?
Or
Tony realizes that the automatic control for the thrusters was damaged when a particular ant entered his system. So when he sees Rhodey falling, he manually turns everything on. This is a small fic about Tony saving Rhodey and the changes after that.

Summary
Tony Stark wasn't just an insecure spoiled kid with daddy issues in Iron-Man 2. Sure, he was suffering from Palladium Poisoning and dying, which made a lot of thing make sense, but what about after it. What would he do after he recovers from the poisoning and realizes what SHIELD had done?
SHIELD got it wrong. VERY wrong.
Tony Stark is an experienced businessman who inherited a multimillion dollar national weapons company and turned it into multibillion dollar international weapons giant. He is the smartest shark in business, and he can recognize the manipulation tactics of SHIELD from a light year away.

Peter looked at Ned who looked at MJ who raised an eyebrow. They seemed to reach some sort of agreement because Peter turned, shouted, “Okay!” back down the hallway and executed a perfect back flip.
Literally no one noticed.
Not a single person looked up from their phones or their stupid conversations or whatever they had going on.
Flash was going to cry.
