“Friends say that to each other all the time,” Lena sniffed, sounding utterly pathetic but feeling too overwhelmed to care. “And it technically cut off so-”
“I swear to God Luthor if you let the fact that the recording cut off “you” at the end as an excuse to continue to ignore what you two have I really will lose my shit.” Alex threatened warningly. “And sure, friends say “I love you” to each other all the time, but do you and Kara?”

“Now!” Yusef instructed, timing her descent over the edge of the roof and down to the balcony with the passing of a bus. Eve obeyed without hesitation, throwing herself over the edge and letting the rope slide between her palms until her boots touched the balcony tile. She drew her gun as she unhooked the carabiner, a particularly vicious kick opening the double doors before her. The object of her single-minded pursuit was finally within her sights.
“It was unlocked.” Carolyn stated calmly from behind the desk, her gaze never leaving the report she was reading through her spectacles. “What can I do for you, Eve?”
