A five-year anniversary rewrite of my first ever fic, Always and Forever.
A Cinderella AU.
Marinette lives a life of a servant, with her stepmother and stepsisters ordering her about and ruining the home that once was hers. Prince Adrien must always be perfect for his father, but in a bid for freedom takes on the role of Chat Noir. When the two meet under unusual circumstances, the sudden connection they share shocks them both. Soon, they each must make a choice - Marinette must choose whether to let this mysterious stranger into her life after so long on her own, and Adrien must choose whether to cling to an old love or let a new one take it's place. When a festival is called, it's the perfect opportunity to change their situation forever - and between his kindness and her hope, they might just be able to find their way to a happily ever after.

The woman in white visits his shop often.
“What are you looking for today, ma’am?” Amik asks from behind the counter when the bell on the door announces her arrival. “More yarn?”
(She’s been coming to him almost every morning for months, and still he doesn’t know what her name is.)
“Yes, you know me so well,” her voice always has a sort of…ethereal quality to it that he can never actually describe. It’s like…It’s like if honey and sugar had a baby and named it Kindness, or something, it’s-it’s warm in a way that the sun could never be, even during the hottest of summers, and the smile she gives him wraps around his very soul and comforts it with a hug. “How is business lately?”
“You’re still my only customer!” he calls as she disappears into the many shelves that are lined with every item he could find during his daily walks: string, yarn, leaves, rocks and jewels, sticks, arrows-
“You’re selling bugs now?” her voice echoes from the back of his store. “So many beetles!”
“They’re my favorite!” he shouts back.

Summary

Forced to go on the run and find sanctuary in Castletown, Link is determined to protect his little family, but things get more complicated when he's gifted a strange mask, and his children end up showing some more 'deity' like qualities themselves...
