Summary
"The answer is no, Harua."
Fuma's voice leaves no room for argument, but Harua manages to make some regardless.
"It's not fair! My he-" Harua stumbles over the word, lowers his voice, "It might not come for another week or two. Then I'll be unsettled and miserable."

Summary
His technique is damn near perfect, these days- he has no intention of winning, not really. He's a bit like Nicholas, in that way, wanting the rush and the release of being caught. Still, it's no fun if it happens too early- but he doesn't want to just be hiding out the whole time, either. The others should get to play with their food, at least. Shake him around by their teeth like a squeaky toy.
He peeks behind the bark of a tree, his head poking out just slightly. Taki's nose is high in the air, scrunching rapidly now that he's caught a stronger trace of his scent. Yuma grins.

Summary
Even if he’s tired, and doesn’t exactly find much pleasure in being the one being hunted anymore, he knows tonight is necessary.
The younger members have all been a bit more worked up after being deprived of their hunt last month (and still don’t know the older four had theirs), and somehow not even the constant activity that comes along with touring hasn’t tired them out.
Their hormones are still running rampant regardless, and at least having this out of the way will make his sub-leader duties a little bit easier for the month. He’s tired of keeping Harua and Yuma from having another one of their catfights- sorry, cat-bunnyfights (Harua finds the term catfights leans too far in Yuma’s favour), and Taki and Maki have been moody for the last week. Jo seems fine, at least.

Summary
Now it’s just him and the trees again, and the feeling of eyes watching his every move. The feeling’s been following him this whole time- but he never placed what it was until Fuma’s gaze glanced over his shoulder for the briefest moment as he left, eyes glinting with amusement.
Nicholas is watching. Waiting.

Summary
"I feel like a dirty little secret,” Maki’s voice is sulking, but he can’t settle his expression into faux-sadness as he watches Harua’s face turn from genuine concern to annoyance.
“And how do you think shoving me into an utility cupboard made me feel?”
“Well, I’m making it up to you now.”
-
Maki navigates his relationship with the prince's most beloved servant- all while the feeling that something sinister is afoot grows stronger with each passing moment until the royal wedding.

Summary
It must be well past five now, and the thought of winning crosses his mind for just a moment. It’s indulgent- and not very likely considering nobody seems to go even a little easy on him, like, ever. He doesn’t exactly have the brain power right now to muster up whatever master manipulation Harua cooked up in March, either, and he also doubts that doing aegyo would really make anyone want to bite him less.

Summary
Jo can’t ignore the heat pooling in his stomach much longer.
It hasn’t hit full force- yet- but he knows it’s coming any minute now.
He knows it’s his own fault for not telling anyone, not warning them not to pick him this month just in case, but he’d only noticed last night himself, far too busy caught up in all the practicing and preparing for the comeback.
His rut was coming.
Not in a week, or a month, now- in the middle of the woods, with eight men hunting for him.
-
Jo gets his rut during the hunt. He's 'it'.
