Summary
Seungmin opens the door to the room, stepping in, and then he tenses.
Behind him, Jeongin goes on alert, hand flying to where his gun is holstered at his hip.
"Sir?"
There's someone sitting on the couch - and all the tension bleeds from Seungmin's shoulders when the person stands up, stepping into the light.
"Yah, Kim Seungmin," Minho remarks, an absolute sight for sore eyes in one of her figure-hugging red dresses, her feet bare and one of his suit jackets draped over her shoulders, "you look like shit."
(Seungmin's on a business trip. Minho catches him by surprise.)

Rozanov cocked his head. “You speak Russian? Or just the curse words?”
“Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.
“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
“Go fuck yourself.”

Despite an inauspicious start, when Russia’s Ilya Rozanov learns that Canada’s Shane Hollander is fluent in Russian at their first World Junior Championships tournament, it changes everything and sets them on a different course. Ilya knows that, between him and Shane, he's the more affectionate of the two. He's not sure if it's because he's from Europe, where everyone greets each other with a hug and a kiss on the cheek, or if it's because he grew up so starved for love and affection that he can't do anything except show Shane how much he loves him at any chance that he has.
So, yes, he knows that he's the one most likely to kiss Shane on the cheek when he skates by him at practice or come up behind Shane when he's cooking dinner just to wrap his arms around him or fall on top of Shane while he's reading on the couch, desperate to have his skin touching Shane's.
But, Shane… Shane loves Ilya differently. It's quieter. More intentional.

“What are these?” Yuna hears Ilya ask. He’s standing with his back to her in front of the armoire next to the couch, looking up at the shelves. She’d been on her way back into the living room with after-dinner coffee when she’d paused at the threshold.
Shane steps toward the armoire, coming up behind Ilya and curling both arms around his waist. “Um, trophies from when I was a kid. Like, minor hockey leagues and tournaments and stuff.”
Ilya moves his head from left to right slowly, scanning the array of trophies and medals on the shelf. “Is big business? Making meaningless awards for tiny hockey players?”
“They aren’t meaningless,” Shane protests, but he sounds a little sheepish.
“Yes, I’m sure the…” Ilya leans in close to read the plaque on one trophy, “‘Sportsmanship Award’ for the U7 Snowflake Classic was very prestigious.”
Shane rolls his eyes, but he’s laughing. “They don’t have awards like this in Russia?”
Or: Yuna bonds with Ilya, one plastic trophy at a time.
